Our home loan application process

1. Application
Simply fill out your application online by entering some of your details, or chat to one of our friendly lending specialists over the phone and they can complete your application for you.

2. onTrack
After your application is complete, use our system we call onTrack on your desktop or device to add your documentation such as payslips and bank statements, and track the progress of your application.

3. Speak to specialist to get preliminary approval
You will then have an appointment with one of our lending specialists to organise your preliminary approval of your loan, and help you progress through the home loan approval process through to settlement as quickly as possible.

4. Signing loan documents
Check onTrack to received your final approval, mortgage documents and loan agreement. You must sign these and return them in to onTrack to progress to settlement

5. Settlement
Your loan will settle and you'll start saving with your new low rate, and get your keys to your new dream home!

We will arrange for a property valuation for the property you are borrowing against.

- Nominate a time for the valuer to come
- Attend the valuation or arrange for a contact to attend

5. Signing loan documents
Check onTrack to received your final approval, mortgage documents and loan agreement. You must sign these and return them in to onTrack to progress to settlement

6. Settlement
In most cases, we will send funds directly to your current lender and do the paperwork with them later. Because the loan balance is now zero, from that date you no longer pay them interest, even if they drag their heels on discharging the loan. We pay the loan out by estimating payout costs based on current balance, rate and repayments.

Building your home is one of the biggest commitments you'll ever make. We can help take the stress out of building a home with our low rates, low fees and easy online application. Before applying for a construction loan, you need a few documents listed here.

6. Settlement
We will contact your conveyancer or solicitor to arrange settlement of the land purchase.

- Arrange necessary deposits to be transferred to your conveyancer
- Notify your conveyancer that we will be your lender for settlement
- Arrange conveyancer to contact us to book in settlement

- If further legal documents are required for settlement we will contact your conveyancer
7. Fund your land purchase
We will use a portion of the approved loan amount to complete your purchase of the land.

- Arrange for you portion of the purchase price to be paid by your conveyancer
- Pay our contribution towards the land from your loan funds

8. Fund construction
Now we start to pay for each stage as it is completed. As each stage is finished, we arrange a progressive inspection and then, if everything is in order, we pay the builder directly.

9. Move in
Once the home has reached practical completion we will make the final payment to the builder. You can then collect your keys and move in.

10. Access your account
Your construction loan will convert automatically to a standard variable loan, which will include both a redraw facility and offset sub-account. Your repayments will convert to Principal & Interest, unless you request to extend the interest-only period.
