We had a chat with Brisbane-based refrigeration mechanic Steven and asked him a few questions about his experience, challenges, and how he overcame them.
Background
I wanted to refinance the apartment I owned through my investment property to get a better rate. The main challenge was probably finding all the required info, especially the financial advice document from when the SMSF investment was originally set up. It was also frustrating dealing with my bank during the change over. No surprises - they didn't make things easy, taking their time getting information and documents back!

- Solved this by having good record keeping and setting time aside to go through all the documents and find what was needed. It was all there it just needed finding. Patience…
